Roof Plumbing Apprenticeships – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Years
Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year Roof Plumbing apprentices to work with our valued Host Employer located in Metro Adelaide and all surrounding areas.
These are full time positions. As a Roof Plumbing Apprentice you will undertake a Certificate III in Roof Plumbing, this is a 4-year apprenticeship.
Position Information
The main role of a Roof Plumbing Apprentice is to install and fix metal roofs, flashings, gutters and down pipes. You may also:
- Select and install roof sheeting and wall cladding.
- Read plans and specifications to calculate plumbing quantities.
- Carry out interactive workplace communication.
- Cut and join sheet metal.
- Flash penetrations through roofs and walls.
- Install roof coverings to curved roof structures.
- Collect and store roof water.
- Operate elevated work platforms.
- Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding.
- Fabricate and install roof drainage systems.
- Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, grinders, and laser levelling devices.
Position Requirements
To be considered for a Roof Plumbing Apprenticeship the following is required:
- A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade.
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
- Be a safe confident worker, use initiative and work well in a team.
- Willingness to travel.
- Have a current White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting).
- Enjoy practical and manual work.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- A car and current Driver’s Licence is required due to changing sites.
