Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for 2nd or 3rd year Engineering Mechanical (Fitter/Machinist) Apprentices to work with our valued Host Employer in the Wingfield area. This is a full time position.

As an Apprentice you will undertake a Training Contract (Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade) where you will learn on-the-job to become a Fitter/Machinist.

Position Information

Working as a Fitter/Machinist you are responsible for fabricating, assembling, maintaining and repairing precision equipment/machines. You may also undertake the following:

• Perform lathe, Milling, Grinding and tool cutter operations.
• Use of VTL Borers, Horizontal Borers, CNC Manual Lathes, Miling Machine.
• Perform precision mechanical measurements.
• Perform precision levelling and alignment of machines and engineering components.
• Perform fault diagnosis, installation and removal.

Position Requirements

To be considered for an Apprenticeship the following is required:

• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
• Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
• Be a hard worker.
• Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
• Occasional out of hours breakdown work as well as ongoing overtime.
