Fitter/Machinist Apprenticeship – 2nd/3rd Year
Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for 2nd or 3rd year Engineering Mechanical (Fitter/Machinist) Apprentices to work with our valued Host Employer in the Wingfield area. This is a full time position.
As an Apprentice you will undertake a Training Contract (Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade) where you will learn on-the-job to become a Fitter/Machinist.
Position Information
Working as a Fitter/Machinist you are responsible for fabricating, assembling, maintaining and repairing precision equipment/machines. You may also undertake the following:
- Perform lathe, Milling, Grinding and tool cutter operations.
- Use of VTL Borers, Horizontal Borers, CNC Manual Lathes, Miling Machine.
- Perform precision mechanical measurements.
- Perform precision levelling and alignment of machines and engineering components.
- Perform fault diagnosis, installation and removal.
Position Requirements
To be considered for an Apprenticeship the following is required:
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
- Be a hard worker.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
- Occasional out of hours breakdown work as well as ongoing overtime.
