Aluminium Carpentry Apprenticeship
Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for an Aluminium Carpentry Apprentice to work with our skilled and valued Host Employers in Edwardstown (Factory Setting).
This is a full time position. As an apprentice, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry, where you will learn on the job to become a skilled and qualified carpenter.
What does a carpentry apprentice do?
The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish, and repair structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also undertake the following:
- Fixing architraves to steel frames.
- Fixing skirting to steel frames.
- Fixing door jams to steel frames.
- Installing window frames, some glazing work.
- Be willing to work on large commercial sites.
Apprentice Requirements
To be considered for this apprenticeship, the following is required:
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
- Hold a current provisional or full driver’s licence, with a willingness to travel due to changing work sites.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills in this trade.
- Be physically fit and have the ability to undertake manual labour.
- Hold a current White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting).
- Be a safe and confident worker.
