Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a Sous Chef to work at a soon-to-open establishment with our valued Host Employer in Whyalla. This position is full time, with a flexible roster for both day and night work.

Position Information

You will work as part of a strong team to assist with the day-to-day running of the motel, and utilise your skills to work effectively in the role.

Duties include:

  • Prepare food according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
  • Assist with menu development.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the head chef and management team.

Position Requirements

To be considered for this position, the following is required:

  • Work well in a team, have great work ethic, and have great time management skills.
  • Experience in similar style venues is preferred, but training may be provided for candidates who have a willingness to learn.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug & alcohol testing.
  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
