Heathgate are excited to be offering an incredible opportunity for an Adnyamathanha person to embark on a two-year traineeship to become a qualified Laboratory Technician. During this time, you will work hands-on as a Laboratory Assistant at our Beverley mining operation, gaining valuable practical experience while pursuing formal education.

In this role, you will be trained in essential laboratory techniques, including sample analysis, maintenance of specialised equipment, and data processing. You’ll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, developing skills that will set you up for a rewarding career in the science and technical fields.

To succeed, you will need strong literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to at least Year 12, as well as a genuine passion for science or technical disciplines. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates keen attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

As part of the traineeship, you will complete a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills through TAFE SA. This course will commence in 2025 and will include a combination of in-class and online learning, ensuring you gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
