Formwork Carpentry Apprenticeships
Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for multiple full time Formwork Carpentry Apprentices to work with our skilled and valued Host Employer, working across various sites in the Metropolitan Adelaide area. These positions are also open to school-based apprentices.
As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry. This is a 4-year apprenticeship, where you will learn on the job to become a skilled and qualified carpenter.
What does a Formwork Carpenter do?
As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will learn to work on larger scale construction sites, smaller residential jobs, and assembling the moulds that retain wet concrete of foundations and other concrete structures. You may also undertake the following:
- Constructing and installing concrete formwork to the required specifications.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Assist in concrete pouring, ensuring that the formwork is properly set and aligned.
- Work effectively, sustainably, and safely in the construction industry.
Position Requirements
- Ideally, you will have experience or be skilled with cutting and measuring.
- Have high attention to detail.
- Be able to work well in a team and have effective communication skills.
- Have great problem-solving skills and be able to manage your time effectively.
- Hold a current driver’s licence (required for non school-based applicants, advantageous for school-based applicants).
