Career Employment Group Inc currently has a fantastic opportunity on offer for a qualified Electrician or qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to obtain a dual trade. This position is located in Adelaide.

To be eligible for this role, you should either be a qualified Electrician looking to obtain a dual trade as an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, or a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic looking to obtain a dual trade as an Electrician.

Position Duties

As an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, you may undertake the following tasks:

• Assemble and install pipe work for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Establish job requirements from drawings and specifications.
• Install or oversee the installation of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Check existing systems for leaks and faults.
• Repair and maintain systems, recording the cause of malfunctions and the action taken.
• Test and balance systems once they are installed.

As an Electrician, you may undertake the following tasks:

• Install, test, connect, commission, maintain and modify electrical equipment, wiring and control systems
• Use test instruments to trace and diagnose faults.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring and defective parts.
• Position and install electrical switchboards, and connect electrical systems to power supplies.
• Test continuity of circuits.

Position Requirements

• To be eligible for this opportunity, you must either be:
  • a qualified Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic looking to obtain a dual trade and become a qualified Electrician, OR;
  • a qualified Electrician looking to obtain a dual trade and become a qualified Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic.
• Hold a current driver’s licence.
• Have a good work ethic and be punctual.
• Work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
