Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for multiple Commercial Cookery Apprentices to work with our valued Host Employer in Brooklyn Park, Adelaide.

This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday with shifts from either 7:00am – 3:00pm or 2:30pm – 10:30pm.

As part of this opportunity, you will complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, working under experienced culinary supervisors to gain valuable industry skills.

Position Information

As a Commercial Cookery Apprentice, you will undertake bulk food preparation and food production work, while learning to perform a range of specialist cooking roles such as planning and preparing food.

You may also undertake the following:

• Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery.
• Prepare vegetable, fruit, egg and farinaceous dishes.
• Work effectively as a cook in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean kitchen premises and equipment as per WHS regulations.
• Plan and cost basic menus.

Position Requirements

To be considered for this position, the following is required:

• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
• Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
• The ability to handle fast paced services.
