Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for multiple Commercial Cookery Apprentices to work with our valued Host Employer in Cavan, Adelaide. This is a full time position, open to 2nd and 3rd year apprentices.

As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, where you will learn to work effectively in a commercial kitchen environment under experienced supervisors.

What does a Commercial Cookery Apprentice do?

As a Commercial Cookery Apprentice, you will learn to perform a range of specialist cooking roles, including planning and preparing food. You may also undertake the following:

• Work in a production kitchen environment, servicing and catering for schools.
• Prepare a range of dishes, including wraps, salads, sushi rolls, curries, and pizza.
• Undertake bulk food preparation and meals.
• Clean kitchen premises and equipment as per WHS regulations.

Position Requirements

• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
• Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
• Have the ability to handle fast paced services.
• Hold a current driver’s licence (due to early starting times).
• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
