Carpentry Apprenticeship
Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Carpentry Apprentice to work with our valued Host Employer in Port Lincoln.
As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry, where you will learn a range of skills working with a variety of tools and materials to construct, install, repair and finish structures and fixtures.
What does a Carpentry Apprentice do?
The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish and repair wooden structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also learn to undertake the following:
- Roofing, guttering, verandas, pergolas, sheds, and carports.
- Renovations, extensions, maintenance and repairs.
- Cladding, insulation and plasterboard installation.
- Building and pre-purchase inspections.
- Fencing, screens, and blinds.
- Decks and balustrades.
- Doors, windows, and flooring.
Position Requirements
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a great work ethic.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
