A New Year Brings New Funding Initiatives

Additional funding initiatives starting 1 January 2010.

You or your Australian Apprentice(s) and trainee(s) may be eligible for funding under one of the new Australian Government funding initiatives, starting from 1 January 2010.

  • Support for Adult Australian Apprentices (up to $6,500)
  • Tools for your Trade Payment ($3,800)

    THE MINISTER’S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2010

    Nominations are now open for The Minister’s Awards for Excellence for Employers of Australian Apprentices . This award recognises employers who demonstrate commitment and outstanding achievement in the training of apprentices. Nominations close on Friday, 26 March 2010. Applications can be obtained from either the Australian Apprenticeships website www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au or by phoning Regional Australian Apprenticeships Centre head office on 08 8645 6800.

    Regional Australian Apprenticeships Centre is contracted by the Australian Government to provide a comprehensive service to employers looking at employing Australian Apprentices and to jobseekers looking to take up an Australian Apprenticeship as a career path.

    Regional Australian Apprenticeships Centre (RAAC):

    • Provides assistance to employers, Australian Apprentices and other stakeholders
    • Administers incentive payments to employers and to Australian Apprentices
    • Markets and promotes Australian Apprenticeships
    • Works with State Training Authority to provide an integrated service

    The RAAC has been servicing Regional South Australia since 1998. The RAAC is a regionally based not for profit organisation employing local people who live in the region they service.
